Live For The Moment

“Don’t wait for the perfect moment, take the moment and make it perfect”

Are you single and longing to have someone in your life? My advice is to enjoy your single status while it lasts! The right man will come into your life; you just have to know what you want and put it out into the universe. It is so important to enjoy each moment and to embrace our lives fully, There will always be times when the grass looks greener on the other side of the fence, whether we are in a relationship or whether we are single.

Of course, the other side of the coin is that it is always fun to fall in love! When you’re in love, all you want to do is spend every moment together. You give each other a reason to wake up in the morning, and a reason to stay up late into the night, exploring the beautiful new world that you are creating together, and that is made just for the two of you. Just as you need to make the most of your time when you are single, you need to embrace the moment when you’re very much in love, because it will not last forever. Essentially, you should enjoy everything you do and make the most of every moment in life.

“The grass isn’t greener on the other side – it’s greener where you water it”

There is a story told by my master about two sisters who went to see a psychologist to help them resolve their issues. The older sister was married and the younger sister was single. The older sister was not happy with her husband and the younger sister wanted to get married. The psychologist quickly solved the problem. The younger sister could have the older sister’s husband!

You can interpret this in a couple of different ways. It can be seen as an easy and obvious solution to the problems that the two sisters face. Equally, it can be viewed as the psychologist pointing out to them the folly of their ways by wishing for what the other one has. If we spend our time and energy focusing on how green the grass is on the other side of the fence, then it is easy to neglect the grass that we have under our own feet, and our beliefs will become a self-fulfilling prophecy. If we don’t care for the things we have then they will not offer the rewards and benefits that they could otherwise bring to our lives.

There may be times in a relationship when you start to doubt if your man is right for you. You may even start to resent the whole relationship. It’s natural to have these kinds of thoughts. One good strategy when you are feeling negative about your relationship is to think of the good times you have shared. In this way you can use your past to improve your present. Now go out there and enjoy the moment, whatever it is and wherever you are!

How green is your grass?
Does the grass always look greener on the other side of the fence or do you feel like you’re always standing in a lush summer meadow?
